The available passionfruit types grown commercially from Queensland that are selected for sale by The Thorny Fruit Co this winter:
- Flamenco are an excellent sweet, extremely juicy variety this Winter. A variety from the purple passionfruit Passiflora edulis, they’re known for its round dark purple, thin skin and orange pulp.
- Panamas are large with a reddish or yellowish shell of the Passiflora flavicarpa species. On the inside holding the pulp is a thicker white flesh, and its seedy pulp has a more zingy, sourish flavour.
1kg approximately will have about 5-8pcs of fruit depending on size.
